MUSEUM GAJAH

The existence of the National Museum begins with the establishment of a set of named Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Arts and Sciences, established by the Government of the Netherlands on April 24, 1778. During that period in European intellectual revolution taking place (the Age of Enlightenment) is where people begin to develop ideas scientific and science. In 1752 in Haarlem, the Netherlands stood De Hollandsche Maatschappij der Arts and Sciences (Scientific Society of the Netherlands). This prompted the Dutch in Batavia (Indonesia) to establish a similar organization. Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Arts and Sciences (BG) is an independent agency established for the purpose of advancing penetitian in the arts and sciences, especially in the fields of biology, physics, archeology, literature, ethnology and history, Berta published research hash.
